TOURISM PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT – TRAVEL TRADE :

The travel trade segment is an important mix of travel agents, tour operators and receptive tour operators who package and sell your business through B2B or B2C channels. All program levels can be customized to meet the needs of your organization and incorporate a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month plan.


ALL levels of the travel trade package will include the following:

  • One (1) strategy call with TEN to discuss travel trade needs and expectations for 2021.
  • Audit of travel trade marketing materials, sales presentations, database management, past program of work, year-to-date initiatives, etc.
  • Adhere to local, city and state COVID rules and regulations in regards to visitation, messaging and travel.
  • Introduction call to local/regional DMO and/or state tourism organizations to determine opportunities to partner on local, domestic and/or international efforts. 
  • Develop a 3, 6, or 12-month plan to target the travel trade, including budget allocations. (Basic vs. VIP)
  • As needed, calls to discuss projects and programs.


Basic Package – Education, Relationships & Introductions

  • Implement communication strategy with key domestic tour operators, online travel agencies, and travel advisors, introducing/reintroducing the product.
  • Determine international strategy by market, timeline and key trade accounts.
  • Make necessary introductions to top tour operators and agencies.
  • Review and provide suggestions for product development (i.e. sample itineraries, local partnerships).
  • Work with in-house marketing team on a travel trade e-newsletter, social channels and other marketing materials for distribution to the travel trade.
  • Make connections with industry associations, including Brand USA, U.S. Travel Association, National Tour Association, or any discussed specific associations.
  • Attend and plan up to two (2) travel industry trade shows (virtually and/or in-person) to include registration, appointment requests, communication, and follow-up reports. *registration and travel costs not included
  • Conduct up to two (2) webinars in partnership with local DMOs/State and/or other partners. *additional costs may apply for participation
  • Provide additional opportunities within the travel trade segment that may be of value to the company to implement (or as additional project work for TEN).


VIP Level – Planning, Execution & Marketing

  • Includes the basic package – education, relationships and introductions.
  • Work with digital team on content on website, social media channels, video content, etc.  
  • Work directly with PR team to target travel media domestically and internationally (specific markets).
  • Implement a travel advisor incentive and training program individually or in partnership with DMOs/state tourism.
  • Present up to two (based on budget) marketing trade campaigns with a travel trade partner (market specific).
  • Attend and plan up to four (4) travel industry trade shows (virtually and/or in-person) to include registration, appointment requests, communication, fulfillment, and follow-up reports. *registration and travel costs not included
  • Conduct up to four (4) webinars in partnership with local DMOs/State and/or other partners. *additional costs may apply for participation
